The apartment has charm and character, all you need in a small kitchen, a comfortable loft bed (if you're not afraid of climbing spiral stairs), a decent bathroom, and good space to hang out. The neighborhood is great UWS. Try Nobu nearby if you like great sushi. We'll be back!

This apartment was a lifesaver to us! So beautiful and elegant, with everything a family could need - all in it's place. The murphy beds transformed the elegant living room into a bedroom for 4 - and were incredibly comfortable.(And the sheets felt like 500 count!) Shades, every kitchen tool, gorgeous glass ware and dinner ware, elegant bathroom - all provided with friendly host and advice on where to go with our kids. I never would have believed that a "vacation rental" could truly have all the comforts of home, especially when I really wanted a good kitchen to feed my small children. And it's in one of the best neighborhoods in New York City. We ate at Zabars, played at the museum, and dined at the trendy restaurants on Columbus, walking in Central Park whenever we wanted since it was so close. I'm going back to this place again - and will highly recommend it to everyone.

This location is perfect for anyone visiting NYC. This was our first New York experience and the location and amenities were perfect for a group of girlfriends who traveled across the country to meet for a holiday. Sightseeing was on mine & my daughter's agenda while the others loved the shopping experience. The location to great restaurants, the Museum of Natural History, Central Park and the subway was perfect. We arrived first and Alex was a great host and very helpful with directions. His favorite market ZABAR's, which we all agreed was a must! was worth the visit. A great neighborhood, very friendly & safe. We will be back!!!

I recently stayed at this property with my sister and her 3 teenage kids and absolutely loved it. I have stayed a several VRBO's and guest houses in NYC and this is my favorite. It is clean, spacious and the kitchen is the biggest I have ever seen in NYC (and unbelievably equipped too). I am (was) a huge fan of the Greenwich Village area, however I am now an Upper West Side convert, this area is right by Central Park it's so peaceful and beautiful, it's very close to the subway and surrounded by lots of great restaurants/shops etc. Alec was an amazing host who really made us feel welcome. You will not be disappointed with this location.
My family enjoyed staying in the apartment very much. It was very comfortable, the kitchen was modern and well equipped, and in a great location. We will be sure and contact Alec when we return to visit the city again and hopefully this wonderful apartment will be available. -Scott Latta, Georgia
This apartment was the best we have rented in our frequent visits to the Upper West Side. It was very clean, with very spacious living room and kitchen. Bedroom had very adequate storage. Ideal for a couple, but children could sleep in the trundle bed in the living room. Apartment faced south so lots of light in the living room, and very quiet. Kitchen extremely well-equipped. Cross-town bus stop on 81st is one block away; Museum of Natural History and Planetarium two blocks away. Description and photos in the listing very accurate. Two flights of interior stairs to reach apartment not difficult, but could be drawback for some visitors. We would certainly recommend this to relatives and friends.

Our family of 5 had a wonderful week long stay here in April. Our three children had lots of room to move within the apartment and having a separate bedroom for them was great. My husband and I slept on the murphy bed in the living room. The apartment is very clean, nicely furnished, and well equipped throughout, especially the kitchen (although we chose to eat out most of the time). Alec is a very nice, knowledgeable gentleman who is happy to help. The location of this apartment is amazing. You are within walking distance of many very good restaurants, a great bagel place (H&H), Zabars, Museums, playgrounds, Central Park, and lots more. We tended to hoof it in the morning to where ever we were headed for the day and then take a taxi home at night. Certainly you could use mass transportation, but with three kids 7 and under it was easier to take a cab! Most of our morning walks would meander through Central Park - always a different way - and filled with places for the kids to play along the way. We loved coming home to this apartment at the end of the day. We would absolutely stay here again - my kids are asking when we can go back to NYC - and would recommend to our friends and family. You will not be disappointed! Enjoy!

Feel at home away from home. The location of this spacious apartment cannot be beat- literally minutes away from the Museum of Natural History and part of a comfortable neighbourhood with shops and stores to satisfy your every need. The kitchen is a delight, the beds are comfortable, Alec is a welcoming and kind host and available to help. We would not want to stay anywhere else on our next visit to New York.
